Spear Leaner

Flex the tech and roll. This is a documentation.

Its Friday afternoon. casual day yay! My buddy Hank has just turned me on to a band called Bonobo-- telling me to listen to their live sessions. Digress! lets get started...

Template type: New Blogger , XML

I: Optimizing the Meta Title
1. Go to Layout>edit HTML in your Blogger dashboard.

2. Search for this set of code:

3. Replace tag with the following:

This will make the Title of the post appear before you blog's title when a post-page is referenced. The potential keywords will be the first things read. People say that makes a difference so I believe them unless notified otherwise. Special thanks to this resource for providing me with this information.

II: Allowing links added in 'comments' to be followed by search engines

1. Backup template. Edit template HTML. Click 'Expand Widgets Templates' checkbox.

2.Search for rel='nofollow' and then delete it wherever you find it.

This removes the rel=nofollow tag from links submitted by users within the comments sections., which if that attribute were included, it would inform Google to not mind the website at the end of the link, potentially withholding ranking power.

Happy Adventure,
Hudson

    Hudson,

    Thanks for the plug!

One thing though. You do not have your comments set up to allow Urls to be entered with the commenters name. Right now you have it set for Google/Blogger Identities and OpenID. Those link back to profile pages and all the links there are Nofollow ... thus your Dofollow is not of any value for a link.

    No problem Hudson. Good luck!
